The term 'biomimetic' means something artificial that mimics nature. This 3D printed biomimetic craft mimics the flotation system of Gerridae, or the water strider. Version 2 -6/30/2015
Version 2 has added flotation due to the fact that I added "feet" to attach to the ends of the legs. These "feet" act like the miniscule hairs on natural strider's feet, enabling it to float on the surface tension. Be sure to print them and add them to your strider!
