To clean my indoor air of fine dust, smog and other environmental toxins, I came across an article about plants for the bedroom. According to NASA tests, certain plants are particularly suitable for air purification. These include, among other things:
Plants do not clean the air with their leaves as previously assumed, but mainly with their roots.
After I had bought a total of 8 plants, I looked for suitable pots. Here I came across the company Airy, which developed a special pot for air purification. Since I am studying product design, I immediately started to design my own pot, which everyone can print out with their 3D printer. The aim was to enable as many people as possible all over the world to have better indoor air at a very low cost.
The air can flow past the roots from below and is thus optimally cleaned.
