The rear quick release skewer that came with my bike doesn't work with my indoor trainer, so I have to swap it with one that will. However, that one also looks out of place on the bike, so I usually swap it back when I go for a ride outdoors. In the meantime, until now, I've just set the one not in use on top of whatever horizontal surface is handy; but that just adds clutter and makes me forget where I last laid it. With this bracket, I have a set place with my other cycling stuff to store the one not currently in use. The screw holes were designed to accept (I think) most standard 1 1/4" drywall screws.
