This will 100% keep your belt from slipping off the bearings, which was a frequent problem after I widened my print area due to the extra belt travel and crooked bearings.
The holes should be 7mm in diameter to fit over the screws, definitely measure it and make sure everything is sized right since you have to take the printer half apart to install it.
The screw holes probably aren't 100% perfectly straight (I had to hold the screws to what looked like straight with pliers while I measured) and if your screws are as bowed out from over tensioning as mine you'll probably need pliers and a hammer to force it down.
