Simple model: 1/2x13 nut as weights, 4.5mm/0.177" inner diameter hole. I used some 550 cord without the inside guts in for this.
This did take a little bit of clean up before it worked well. I printed this using PLA+ at 100 percent infill, and ended up needing to use a bic lighter and some strategic threading/rethreading of the nuts to get them to fit.
I've dropped this on the carpet numerous times and it seems to still be okay.
