INSTEAD OF THIS DESIGN I WOULD RECOMMEND TO USE THE BETTER ONE:

ADVANTAGES ARE: the distance between the shaft and the bed is the same as when using original LM8UU bearings. So you will not loose some Z-space and table with trigger the Y-endstop without problems.

Now here is a similar block for Y-axis (table) of Prusa Sunhokey printer. It will be faster and lighter than stock linear bearing. And it will not damage the shaft like stock linear bearing.
