The file 'Beam Attenuator For Coherent J8LP Laser Energy Probe 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 150.7KB.

Summary

This is a reflective beam attenuator for coherent J8LP probe, designed for expanding its energy range. the J8LP has a range from 2uJ~20mJ, with this attenuator it can measure pulse energy 20uJ~200mJ.

If you want to make your own attenuator, you will also need:

Plate beam splitter with splitting ratio 1:9, made by quartz glass, the minimum size 20*20mm or lager is recommended.

Graphite plate, thickness should about 1mm and diameter should be 20mm

Here's assembly instructions:

  1. Place the coating surface of the beam spllitter downwards, mount the glass surface on the inclined surface of the model to completely cover the elliptical hole, this step can be done with UV glue.
  2. Mount the graphite plate to the circular groove at the bottom of the model.
  3. cover the front plate, insert the J8LP probe from the bottom and mount the probe with a screw from the topward hole, set the attenuation factor of your energy meter to 10, the instrument is ready to use.

Note: If you want to measure high power or non colimated laser, please do align the beam carefully in order to avoid melting the plastic parts. this model is only for experimental purpose, use it wisely and it is on your own risk.
