What do i need for it?

  • almost nothing except a (well adjusted and working) 3D - printer and some M3x12 screws

How do I replace the original part with the new part?

  1. Remove any lense you have current on your microscope
  2. Switch off your microscope, better unplug it
  3. Take the microscope with the screen careful out of the holder stand
  4. Turn around the microscope and carefully remove the three philipps head screws
  5. Remove the cover plate (DO NOT TOUCH THE GLASS OR THE CAMERA LENSE! A SINGLE TOUCH CAN POLLUTE UND DECREASE THE CLEARNESS OF YOUR MICROSCOPE)
  6. Don't touch anything of the focus mechanism; its greased up and you might pollute it
  7. Pull off the original part carefully
  8. Replace it with the 3d printed part
  9. Follow up the steps reverse to assemble the microscope
  10. Check the focus mechanism if its goes smoothly
  11. Check the function of the microscope

How to i fit the lenses into the bayonett coupling?

  1. Screw the M3 screws into the threads on the lenses
  2. Couple it with the bayonett coupler (clockwise --> in; counterclosewise --> out)

What else is important?

  • be careful at removing the support, otherwise you might crack the two small cylindrical covers
