This Adapter replaces 3x AA Batteries and fits for cheap LED light chain.
I use a 18650 Lio Battery with a Step-up / Charger Board. (I desolder the big USB connector because of easier glue attachment, than the two ground pads must be bridged !)
That gives 5V output and with a Diode in row it drop down to ca. 4,5V
Don't forget to solder a knob to the + pole sheet to get contact.
What you need:
2 pieces of copper foil or sheet
controller board (from ebay)
diode (1N4004 or similar)
wires
glue
soldering iron
