Summary

I have enhanced my Voronoi Functions from some last posts.

Now the Voronoiizer can change the thickness of the links and the roundings of the inside corners depending on an input parameter, (eg the height of the model).
The thickness of the link can also be made dependend from the distance of the two voronoi-points, separated by this link: If two points are pretty close to each other, then the link will be set to be thin. But not thinner than a definable minium thickness.
Also with the height, the number of points on each layer is selectable,
And the chaos of the arrangement of the points can also be blended from or to a regular mesh to compete chaos.
This model (with 18 in the name) depicts all these features, including these from former posts:
On the floor level the inside roundings are pretty big, same with the link-thickness. Also the chaos is high on the floor level. But with increasing height, the chaos decreases, and also the inside radius between any two links and the thickness of the links. So that at the top it looks almost regular. At the same time the number of points increases per level, and the thickness of the links decreases, and also the inside radius. The shape of the rotational extruded part is of cause also settable as you see from my other posts.

The overall thing looks like to be inspired by something which has grown from the ground. Also a phase shift of the points from one to the next level can be set or leave it random.

This open cups are ideal to put wet things into it, which should dry out:
My wife has identified the first ideal usecase so far: Hold toothbrushes and tooth paste, so that you do not create an alive biosphere like in closed cups. She uses many of them also for her cosmetics stuff, as it allows to look though the voronoi-cells to spot parts inide.
Me and friends also used the algorithm for Cake/Cookie, Candy- tins or to hold wet cutlery in the kitchen.
You can also scale it up to become a very attractive paper-basked, or container for umbrellas or gloves, or caps or scalfs in the wardrobe.
If you have more ideas, they are very welcome.

I can also create a design from your inputs; watertight with inside wall or open as you like.
Possiby also from stl files you provide. With your own design and the just learned you can tell a story, that your desingn is unique. Not only because of your input parameters, but also because the points are generated by random genrator and then funneled into the given constraints (down to no random at all, then you have a regular mesh).

I have added some more stls with nice patterns and a kind of chamfer, to be placed on a surface, or bend around something using a hot-air gun. I will put it on my notebooks backside of the display using fancy, shiny, glamour PLA (will sent photo, if I received the material an printed and mounted it). I am going to have something like this also in my shower as a separator-wall. )

The design is for privat use only and requires a like from your side, if you download it.
If you want to create and replicate it for reselling, this needs commercial agreement.
