Made my kid a basketball hoop! The backboard is an old tray, and I printed the rim at 90% size since my desired rim diameter of 20 cm couldn't fit into my Ender3 printer, but at 90% it fits just fine and still plays quite nice with the ball my kid has.
I suggest using PTEG and I did 7 perimeters for the vertical wall to make the whole thing stronger. Prints in two parts (the rounded top is essential since ball will tend to get out of the hoop more often then without it), just glue them together after printing.
The net can be hand knitted quite easily. Used 3 mm screws and nuts, but at 100% 4mm should work fine.
