The file 'Barbie Robot Wheel Chair For Assisted Living Demonstrations 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 590.0KB.
A design created to build a motorised wheel chair to fit a Barbie size doll, pictured, to provide a basis for assisted living demonstrations. The purpose is to give people access to a model which will help the community understand the challenges and develop solutions for wheel chair users.
It's main motive power is via stepper motors mounted inside the chassis geared to provide scale walking speeds, with electrical power provided by Lipo cells stored in a battery holder at the rear. Initially this will be a remote controlled example with increasing levels of autonomy added. Transmission to the wheels is via a hex adapter, in this case supplied as a 3d printed part but scaled to be used with a standard brass RC car hex adapter which might be more robust.
This object was made in Tinkercad. Edit it online https://www.tinkercad.com/things/73UpQMRUHSS
Code used with the chair and an instructable article detailing construction and use will be published and details here updated when complete.
