Bannermans Island Arsenal, commonly called "Bannermans Castle", which sits on lonely Pollepol Island in the Hudson River, south of Beacon NY. This is just north of Storm King mountain and Breakneck Ridge. Riders on Metro North Railroad's Hudson Line see this island on every trip. This model is of the central "Castle" and the still-standing Warehouse 3. The ruins of Warehouse 2 are covered in poison ivy and thus not visible. The model was displayed at the 2014 Dutchess County Fair in Rhinebeck NY, as part of the NMRA model trains exhibit. It got a lot of attention.

This is what 3D printers are for. There is no other way to model such a complex piece of architecture. If it looks like it was built by a mad arms dealer who lived on an island and sold munitions to every nefarious villain in the world, that's because -- it was!

The castle started falling apart in 2009. All that is left is the rear wall of the castle and part of the left side. This model is as the castle stood from the late 20th century up to 2009.
