It was time to replace the desicant in my Bambulab P1P. I always use Dry & Dry desicant when I need desicant so I made a easily refillable holder for my P1P. You can use the original cover and attach it to the base with a 1.7x5 mm screw or you can print you own cover.
I tried printing a cover with a latch but found it was difficult to get a reliable working latch, I may work on it in the future.
A photo shows how to put it on the bed and print it.
The original cover is what I prefer because it latches down and you don't have to worry about it rubbing on the spools. There is only a few mm's clearance so you have to have it flush with the bottom. The unfortunate thing is the Bambulab cover has holes that allow the smaller pellets to pass through. I found that when you assemble it just put a coffee filter under the cover before you screw it on. You only have to do that once as it refills from the rear with about 1 1/2 oz's of desicant.
If you print the cover and make a complete assembly you may need to trim it a little to
make sure it sits flush when it's inserted.
The Dry and Dry desicant can be dryed in 10 minutes in a microwave and reused, just follow their instructions. You may be able to put the whole module in a microwave if you keep the power low enough. Defrost cycle seems safe but I tried just the pla on high power and it melted so try it without the bambulab cover first to make sure your safe.
I hope you find it useful or at least give you and idea on how to make one better.
Cheers
