Whoever owns a german IDEAL paper trimmer knows how good they are. I have one in Buenos Aires and recently lucked in and found an IDEAL 1038 (https://www.ideal.de/en/cutting-machines/trimmers/1038) for $15 Canadian dollars at a thrift store (!). It was old enough to say it was built in West Germany (i.e. pre-1991) and it still works like the first day. But it was missing the back gauge.
So, here it is. My version of the IDEAL 1038 back gauge. I'm pretty sure it would fit other models as well (1058, 1071, 1135, 1046) but I haven't tried it.
Additional needs:
1x M3 screw 18mm with Allen head (see pic for reference)
1x M3 screw 6mm
2x M3 nuts
