Summary

Welcome back!

A long forgotten foreshadowing ship from a Babylon 5 Season 2 Episode "The Long Dark"; has been recreated. I admit, this took about 6 to 7 hours and was sketched from pausing the episode, and then translated into a 3D model. The reason it took so long is because the scenes in the episode had so much shadow and darkness. It's not perfect, I screwed up the door handle and then decided enough's enough.

This is at the time of 2259, a 100 year old First Contact Vessel. Manned by 2 individuals and sent out into space just before contact with the Centari Republic, and the introduction of Jump Gate technology. This ship was picked up on Babylon 5 Scanners broadcasting an Earth Signal. As the episode goes, one of the individual's had been killed while in cryogenic stasis. His organs, eaten alive by an Alien Species who had jumped aboard. The course of the ship was retargeted to Babylon 5 for more food by the Alien. It's interesting to note that the Alien was eventually spotted and killed, was awoken to rejoin the Shadows at Zahadum. The Ship only had one picture on the internet. While rewatching Season 2; a new ship? No Model? Well, simply put, there was no turning back from that moment.

Also, only the last remaining volunteer aboard the U.S.S. Copernicus and the help of an Earth Minbari war Veteran, having being storied as living in down below, was the only one who could locate and help destroy this Alien.

A few notable highlights include the incredible tribute written into the story to honor the verture still never leaving a forgotten homeless solider, and how Ga'kar was able to identify the creature in the book of Ga'quan.

This is a forgotten ship I can imagine by many, about some forgotten souls and how one forgotten solider was able to save the 1/4 of a million Human and Aliens all alone in the night. So, here she is! Thank you JMS!

Enjoy!
