Right when you thought the Hades Super Dreadnought was going to be scrapped with the new Omega’s taking all the attention… Ya right, this is Earth Force. They never went there because no Minbari ship ever survived encountering one. Originally asked for by the Marine’s and denied, the idea fell into black ops hands. The recently reverse engineered weapons cores of the Shadow Fighter taken back to Ioannis Station had now been cracked.
A data crystal is dropped from an Earth Force Hyperspace Beacon Operator by accident and picked up by a Ranger tailing him. This would be the first time a Hades Mark 2 would be seen by the Minbari Grey Council and word quickly spreads to the Wind Swords, who alert the Vorlons. This may be the beginning of something threatening unfolding. An enhanced image shows the location of the Beacon’s location on an console, and the Vorlons dispatch a Heavy Cruiser to the Area suspecting Ioannis Stations location may be near by.
Anyway, storyline aside, here we have it. A recommissioned, rearmed Hades Dreadnought. All the Cannons have been removed, and smaller, higher power Shadow Grade Earth Force guns replace them. There are 6 new heavily modified Cannon, Laser and Missile Systems positioned around the Ship. The Forecastle is of course still split Port and Starboard allowing main batteries to provide a devastating small silhouette attack profile while allowing Starfury Launch’s from the protection of Midship Defense Grids.. Midships has Sensor Guided Cannons, and Central upper and Lower revolving Turret’s both with Nuclear Missile Launchers, Laser Emitters and Gatling Cannons. You’ll also notice there are 3 Missile Batteries to support defense’s along Port and Starboard Midship C.T.C. Area. Aft you’ll also notice the same array of Lasers and Forecastle Cannons on all 4 sides of the Engines.
This as the original Hades would now become the centerfold for Earth Forces new Special Forces Branch. Dedicated to the impending Shadow War. And thus stay out of the public eye.
