Yepp, considering the new twist in the story line, yes the Erebus Class Shadow hunter, former Torpedo Ram’s & Light Ship, Harpocrates, former Hyperion Cruiser’s have been out in the field preforming together, training together and more than likely targeting random objects and test tugs to demonstrate the new strategic effectiveness of the pairing. WOW, thats a long sentence… Well this one could be a long drawn out story.

Let’s make a start. So with the cooling down and in between war time established, let’s face it, ships are going to the scrapper. Truth be told, this is what happens in between or after wars with ships. In this alternate storyline there’s tons of random ship classes brought out previously now returning, entering into “Moth Ball” or Reserve Fleet status, or entering Museum Ship status, (I.E. you can tour it, but Earth Force reserves the right to reverse and reactivate it at any time depending on the class) status, or flat out being scrapped. So here we have an Escort Carrier. As one can imagine, the “ Mini Flat Tops” are making a pretty long line into the yards for dismantling per Armistice Guidelines. Well, what if meanwhile at Babylon Station, the Vorlons straight up acknowledge the persistence and strategy of Earth Force for being so diverse and creative in their tactics and challenge them to a duel?…. Well given the new Shadow threat, an unstable uneasy peace, new election cycle starting and workers almost ready to strike over the demands at the ship breakers yards, bidding wars and constant League of Non Aligned Worlds trying to buy the ships to use on each other; a handful of Escort Carriers happened to slip away. ( Its B5, what do you expect? )The decision is made to recreate the High Intensity Disruptor’s, ( I guess its time to call them something ) and start mounting them on these larger ships. Far stretch for E.F.? Nah, never.

So here we have it, another forgotten hero re-emerging, but oh no, here comes the diplomacy and me saving you decades of stuff to read… IPX forms, a puppet tech collector of the Earth Force, and here’s a base of operations to destroy and collect Shadow Technology. And, it’s a sizable ship to display next to a Vorlon Cruiser which had previously visited the Station. Great photo op that will never reach the paper. So rushed along without proper development in haste, here it is. Named after the Greek something of riches and collecting, and Earth Forces ever present bastardization of the rule of treaties, the Ploutos Class Shadow Commandeer Escort Carrier. Three Disruptors, 2 up front, 1 in back and plenty of room for IPX to stash tech in secretly, whilst being the gleam in the eye of a Vorlon tech wise for the next war…

Oh ya btw, it’s at this time Humans discover having telepathy, and start remembering vague memories of being abducted by Vorlon Ships. Sub-sequentially the Psi Core is created to chase down these now rouge telepaths not understanding they’re power, and Psi Core, not understanding they’re limits, and a former abductee accepts the Vice President’s Role for a nominee, the Earth Alliance as the first of these ships travels by Light Ship to just outside Vorlon Space. The Nominated Presidential hopeful eagerly wishes for a new partnership with the Vorlons.

Mars revolts when learning about exploitation of draftees, Strikers Strike, and tons of now inactive, unattended War Ships start stock piling at breakers yards. The Political Scene is a mess and former War Ships start going missing being possibly stolen by resistance fighters or loyalists. Manned Hyperspace Beacons begin disappearing opposite Vorlon Space and strange “Glacier Anomolies” begin happening on Ganymede, whilst Doomsday cults spread and head for Babylon Prime, hell bent that this mixing of races is a bad idea. The Minbari send a small Military Cast detachment to Babylon Prime when Rangers receive word of this. The Earth Alliance has now become unstable, the Babylon Project unknowingly in harms way. The Rangers also alert the Minbari of the Vorlon’s welcoming a “New Class” of Earth Force Ship into an area inside the containment zone of Vorlon Space. This pressures the issue of the Light Ship technology to stop being used by Earth Force. Earth Force, completely overwhelmed puts a low priority response to the Minbari Grey Council, and revised orders sent to the Minbari Babylon Detachment. The Grey Council now debates containment of Earths issues and weighs a heavy choice of patrolling Hyperspace and possible embargo on aid, sparking a background and unknown further fueled arms race to the Minbari. In the mist of a closing war, and a universe on the fringe of collapse of the proficised looming Shadow War.
