Summary

Welcome back,

And welcome to, well a piece of ship…. Honest truth, the Panama Update has been a thorn in my side for a while. It’s artful, or awful if you read that too fast. I think I might have seen the model maybe once or twice floating out side of the B5 station aimlessly for a quick back from commercial clip (Got a few conspiracy theories on why that would be… LOL) Or maybe not. I don’t remember… I don’t know where it came from, I can not definitively discern its origins, or its pitch, or yaw to be honest.

I don’t know what the f##k it is… and yes, you’d be right, I’ve really checked it over for design intent. I really did toy with this one like a cat with a ball of string, and like a shot in the dark here it goes. A shot in the dark is still a shot… If B5 was the last best hope for peace, then this is this models best last hope for wherever it winds up.

Yes I really did try with this one, and make it more cruise ship like than the half a ship we may or may not have seen, but resides here for sure on Thingiverse where I can say, yes, I found it. It’s so screwy… Im sorry, why, where and how the heck is this a good idea? I had to mirror it to come up with a structurally rigid platform to withstand understood space stuffs…

So welcome to Deductive Reasoning. It’s a way of deducing what something isn’t from what your eyes are showing you in order to tell you what it isn’t. It’s a method of initially investigating intent. Ouch, the 3 I’s. Next it will be the 5 whys… Why was there 2 levels on one side, and 1 in the middle on the other side? Which side is up? Alls I could tell was back to front, and when you remix up 3D star ships as a hobby, thats a problem when you can’t see more than that. Why are there observation dome looking structures around the aft Engines?? That’s a horrible idea… Those should be heat shields FFS! :0

Why am I thinking about this and looking at it like this? Well it’s a cruise ship right?

Yes Im asking because I don’t know…Anyway I would think, it is, then I think well, what’s it like to be a passenger on it, and I thats where the fore mentioned questions and criticisms come from.

If you have a young family and want to go to a Space Disney like Planet, don’t buy a ticket on that thing, or this thing. You’ll be a passenger floating among other tourists that are either, sequentially being moved through the ship to and from the bathroom literally seat belted in for hours or days at a time and watching everyday people try and eat and, be breathing in that or far Farrrrrrr worse, not seat belted in; and Hoooooooooooly Sh#t. Take a breath and let it all sink in. Here comes the someone’s dentures with some popcorn, a teddy bear and some nasty Momma's B.S. unmitigatedly shelling the s##t out of an unapologetic, dismissive, inept, cheerfully colored uniformed crew. Or maybe everyone’s just stuck in a cabin and sort of told to stay there. I don’t know… Im just trying to think of what its like to be an everyday person who doesn’t care about space with kids being in space and what it would look like inside.

But that doesn’t explain the firey domes of doom in the back. Is that where the bad kids go?
Where the suggestion boxes are? It’s awful. I felt like I had to do something, so here it is… it’s something….

So ya, lets dig into it… It made more sense to be a horizontal layout with a Starboard and Port Side, so its got the 2 window levels on the outside. I separated the Engine Rooms for good reasons from the, “Festive” area’s of the ship… I placed the command deck at the center of the ship upfront because that makes sense… Ya those windows on the top and bottom are fake like its crew…

Why am I even doing this?

Enjoy! (I think?)
