It’s a Mine Sweeper. Crucial as the first ships in to an embattled forces strong hold. Small, looking to destroy barriers to the Assault Force attached; and not expected to return. Theres a few Mine Sweeper specific apparatus to come as I’ve chosen to bring back a valiant class of ship hardly ever mentioned historically. They are smaller than Frigates, larger that Patrol Boats and sizable enough to deter other threats to a fleet. Historically, anti-aircraft, anti-sub, and tasked with clearing mine fields. So ya, I decided to take this one back a bit in the B5 journey so far. Seems appropriate to me.
Good size guns to take down what’s ahead, plenty of maneuverability to squeeze through fire, Sensor Arrays to detect Mines, 2 above and below Ventral Bays to hold different Mine Collection Devices. Causeways above to board, a C.T.C on top. Also Boarding can be done at the front as well.
