Here we are with a newest conversion of a Mercury Class Jump Gate Builder repurposed to accommodate the logistics of fierce warfare. Armchair warrior theorize tactics, and Professionals provide logistics. The ability to efficiently get new combat ships almost completed to just outside the combat zone for completion along the way, and to replace the damage ships, and a ship able to bring the ships; in this case the Nova’s damaged back to a repair facility. As you can theorize, the context of this model implies the possibility the Jump Gate Building priority has been changed due to a ramping up war. This stuff does happen in the Navies. It’s a means to sustain effectiveness in the war. So the Mercury Class Remix has been remixed with the needed space frame modifications to transport ships in and out and provide the landing areas for extra replacement parts to rebuild damaged ships on site and resupply the advance. The various shuttles and recover / construction crafts are included.
This is the answer for the larger Nova class, and the Hyperion class was just too small to take heed the call. If there were ever a ship that was to sustain the battle line, this would be it. I’ve never seen this in sci-fi, so this is a follow up to my first, The Hyperion Repair ship.
This strategic decision would imply that the war has many challenges and that ship building yards are over capacity pushing construction to new levels.to win a war. Thats why complete ships are to be completed in transport. When the balance of victory is in the balance. These things happen to evolve with the situation at hand. So this is a call out to all the armed forces from the construction docks to the front line fighters.
