The year is now 2259 and President Clark is now in control. His predecessor’s death still a mystery. “Nothings the same anymore” Earth Force has been exposed in the shadow of the Earth Alliance and the Shadows are on the move. Clark opens up Nightwatch, and a new series of Stations; Helios Project 2.

Unlike the previous Helios Project, this new series of stations would not be sponsoring espionage in the shipping lanes while studying other alien races up close and personal and becoming the hub for the Janus Light Ship Program. Helios 2 still holds 2 observable core traits to its core. The Helios Long Range Observation Program, or HLROP focuses solely upon long range survailence visually and spectrally of Normal Space.

Like the former, the Station is hollow such as its predecessor, however incorporates technology gathered from the Babylon Stations construction. There is no open air rotating air space here however. Its rotational and houses the Babylon Project Strut rotational system and surrounds a main super Telescope up front. With that being the main objective of the design intent and, it being purely a Military Station, it’s as trimmed down as much as it gets. The Central Axis supports the Rail System to get from sector to sector for crew to working area. Both Forward and Aft Sections are heavily armed with the multipurpose batteries seen on other Remixed EF Models I’ve uploaded.

The Station has 2 Fusion Reactors, 1 to power the telescope and weaponry, the other to power the Station. They are designed to see the outer fringes of the Rim, and Deep into Vorlon Space. Being placed inside Earth Controlled Territory, an attack on these Stations would be an act of war. The Station’s operate on a law that even the Vorlons can’t avoid, there no crime in using a telescope. Earth knows the Shadows are moving, so for the Vorlon’s, this is a help and a Peace Maker, the Minbari and others follow the Vorlons advice. However, knowing these Stations exist again is still just another unsettling reminder of the riptide of war expected in 2260, potentially pulling the whole Galaxy into War. Earth decides to publically not participate as its newest ships are still in trials and various other nuances.

Babylon 5 can’t get anywhere with the other races with Earth Force now pulling the blanket over the eyes of diplomacy leaving the Babylon Project Idle. It would seem the Project is separated from its main backer. Nightwatch runs these Stations. This Station doesn’t hide its intentions.

The idea of the model began with wanting to recreate the internal superstructure of the Babylon Project, and then again the alternative story line, just fit it right in. Diplomatically stalemated, the H.L.R.O. Program continues. Babylon 5 requests Data from the Netwrok thru private channels to only get help for Alien Governments in a trade for trade arbitration that only works best when Helios benefits the most. With Clark working with the Shadows, The Helios Stations are able to help direct Alien Governments away from Staging areas for the Shadows. With Clark, no psychotic, and Psicore now involved with him, its only a matter of answering the question “What do you want” and, the answer being, dominance by Earth Force, with a public that is still xenophobic eating the propaganda ISN is now pumping out. General Hague takes interest in the new Commander of Babylon 5 with all of this going on.

The Ioa Transfer Point being closed now to the tragity of Earth Force One causes a lot of delays within the Soul System further jamming up Inter-Solar travel. Information travels. Mars Colony is deeply affected by all the changes. It’s possible now Mars could also go into a state of Rebelion. The Grip is tight. This Station, just the tip of the new iceberg. Still holding the tourch of the Helios Predessor but in a new focused with the times way.

Also, for additional support, Helios Support Ships are also constructed on behalf of Ioannis 2, also benefitting from this enhanced network of information gathering and provides Exploeror Vessels to aid the effort. Them being the Coeus Class, former Ares Class Battle Ships. You’ll see in this supporting model, the same Helios influences thru out. However, this Ships Design Intent is to get an up close and personal look at what the H.L.R.O Station’s focus is on. This supplementary model is also the prototype sent to the H.L.R.O for finishing details. That ships, had 9 incarnations to get the best possible model suited for the job. So it’s just a history milestone and fun model to enjoy the splitting challenges along with it. That Ships final 2 Hyoerspace capable variants to come tomorrow.

Thank you all for your patients. These models have taken weeks of dedicated modification and testing on the Creality KE to seek out all the issues. The art work going forward too is also getting a good revamp. This is only fitting as this story line is now hitting closer to home.
