Here we have it! The Dreadnought for the defensive, not the offensive. Call it a super Nova if you’d like. I’ve named it the Erebus Class. Erebus is a primordial being in Greek Mythology that represents the darkness of the underworld and chaos. This class of ship is very self explanatory. It’s Task Force placement is along side the Alexiares Planetary Bombardment / Defense Ship. The idea here is; each hemisphere of a captured planet would have 4 of these Ships per each Alexiares Class. This would be like a Battleship left behind to secure a world captured along with the Carrier if you will. This Ship is designed to carry 8 Ready to launch Starfury squadrons with 8 reserve squadrons. Fore and Aft have their own egress areas. The Fore, able to also house smaller shuttle and various other craft and cargo / logistical activities. You’ll find a Fighter Recovery Bay in the far lower Aft Engine Area. This is possibly a design flaw to have the fusion reactor mounted central to the lateral axis of the ship, however, I believe it would be far worse to have a centered long extended bay running through out the center of the ship given the nature of its mission.
