The never seen but always mentioned, Hyperspace Beacon. Never thought about never seeing the day when…? Well, here’s my hash job/ remix of it. An earth Force one because why not? The Janus Project Dreadnoughts (Light Ship’s) would be out there dropping these off and servicing them. Hansel and Grettle Style I’m sure. So here’s the Design Intent, the Top Recieves the Signal and the bottom transmits the signal back, kind of like looking into a laser beam light (don’t do that). The Navigation System of your ship would lock on to and plot a course to keep going toward it and be redirected to the next area, link of the chain, Star system or other, almost always another Jump Gate. This is an Earth Alliance one, Janus Project, you can’t hide massive ships in plain sight or in Hyperspace forever, and with tech being what it was in this pre Dilgar War Era, with the Pathfinder like Ships plotting they’re way through the unused areas of Hyperspace would theoretically drop these off. If you take a quick peek, They can be boarded, and the receivers or transmitters rotated. Let’s say someone picked up on what your putting down and the an alert popped up on your screen of an unauthorized ship following the lock on signal? Well you can’t have a firefight in Hyperspace, so turn it off, or turn the transmitter and throw the ship off course… Lost in Hyperspace. No questions asked. Yepp, this is part of the clandestine Helios Era of projects. The ways the ships with non transmittable sensitive information would take to avoid scanning or being intercepted. If your a WW2 buf, Look into the S.O.E and French Resistance, you’ll start to pick up what up what I’m putting down here for story fun. If your job isn’t the kindest, print this out and keep it with you, there’s always a worse job, like trying to live and work on this thing in the middle of a violent fast moving, constantly moving, lightning flashing orange and black sand storm you don’t want to space walk in. Oh ya with constantly and at random appearing with no memo or courtesy text, the gravity wells. Is your boss a moving target? Theyres is. Remember, it has to stay in one spot, ya have fun with that. Because if you move to far and loose the lock on your locked onto, well, ask the Captain of the Cortez.
NERD MESSAGE ALERT! -If you look down on it, you can see the transmission line of sight, and imagine this model is in position of providing a turning point in the path.
It’s a remix, enjoy!
