Summary

Welcome back!

ITS THE OMEGA’S TURN!!!!

So what the heck happened? Short answer, a few things at once… You can always count on that… Public inquiry into how much all these Custom Ship Designs cost and the never good timing of the Spare Parts guy retiring with a middle finger high in the air (can you blame him?) and, taking all his rightful, experience with him. So yes, it’s a matter of importance that Earth Force spends down, and starts consolidating its First Class Ships of the Line into one streamlined, multipurpose platform. The Nova’s are well overdue for retirement, not that many in my remixed timeline would be stock anymore at this point and as a result of heavy combat, damage control with the lack of spares fitting correctly due to heavy previous modifications, the Space Frames are ultimately going to start to wear and become unstable in combat faster than normal. Why all the remixes? It’s a tactic never used in war because of how expensive it is to do, and thats modify your ships per mission, per situation, pre battle. Let’s face it, if it ever were to happen, it would be because the Human race was about to be wiped out. I mean, if your an enemy and you never know what’s coming thru the jump gate next, how to fight it or what its main purpose is, your going to not be able to carry on very long.

But now, it’s time to focus on streamlining. Streamlining is the art of creating a repeatable, cost cutting, low maintiance, steadfast and robust multipurpose design’s or blends that is effective and timeless for a long service life. So the Omega finally won its place in my contributions list. So Design Intent’s covered as far as I’m concerned. Let’s talk about what’s changed. ALOT.

First of all, let’s talk about requirements. Retiring so many 100’s of different mission oriented ships and harvesting would be a multilayer nightmare and when working for a Naval force, this is mission critical. If you mess one thing up, you’re not getting into the review boards meeting room, or getting a red lined drawing back. Your out your own money. So IT HAS TO BE RIGHT. Design Requirements change in an alternate time line, so here it is.

Side Launching Starfury Bays-Hyperion shared parts.
Star Frame- Nova, already have the battle tested timeless design.
Speed- The Engines are good but could use some more heat shielding to lessen wear.
Upgraded Defense Grid- Sure, Gatling Fore and Aft Rotating that can raise, lower, rotate and yes, heat shielding between them, because that's a rotational area.
State of the Art rotational Laser Cannons.
Suppression fire to defend the Rotational Crewed Operations Center.

-Now that's important in contrast to the Nova’s to Omega’s in contrast. The Nova's first targeted areas would be the main weapons array which was spread out all over the ship, which meant, if the Port Side Guns were down, the ship could simply roll over to bring the Starboard to bare on the way out, leaving the combat zone for extensive repairs. The Rotational Section on the Omega is target one. If an enemy brings that down, there's a strong chance the ship would not be operational again for some time with the crew unable to reach controls. That alone changes the ball game here. This is why the Nova's didn't chance artificial gravity before, yet other ships did. Another unique feature of the Omega Remix is that with the hollowed areas of the ship being pass thrus, the crewed sections are Aft and Midship with causeways linking the Forecastle, Midships, and Engine Rooms. The Aft Section also houses a separate back up Combat Information Center with auxiliary fire control rooms, and fighter support center.

More escape Pods / Missile Launch Tubes.

And more armor to defend the new mainstay of the Crew. The Interior of the Ship has been opened to reload Starfury Squadrons up front in the Forecastle, and launch other craft where needed from above or below storage. The Jump Engines and Mine Layers in the Forecastle have more room to carry more munitions.

A recognizable silhouette.-Nova.

The Stem of the Ship has been heightened and heavily armored as well as it is an area where main operational munitions casemates and fighter logistics ares cohabitate.

So yes, it’s different. Rounded for laser scattering and deflection of incoming ordinance.

The Destroyer is not named properly historically, and the Cruiser is too small, but we can roll with that. This is an Assault Ship, Carrier, Dreadnought all in one. If it wins your heart, then I can say they shook hands, and won the bid. My models are getting more and more harder to print as the detail level is advancing. Please take your time, remember retraction, and split this one up how it works best for your printer. Make her a nice one.

Enjoy!
