The file 'Aztec Temple Bog Planter V2 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 16.7MB.
This is "Version 2" of my remixed "Aztec Temple Bog Planter" with Water-Pump,
found here:
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4898181
Version 1 is based on Whitetington's Remix, found here:
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4870695,
Which is a remix of poblockim's Aztec Temple Planter (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4359790/)...
Whew... If I forgot to credit anyone, it was not intentional, please PM me and I'll rectify the oversight!
I sliced my first remix into layers to take advantage of multiple 3D Printers to cut way down on the total print time. This remix improves each of those layers greatly, with the goal of not having to glue each layer together, or use silicon to prevent leaks between layers. ALL Version 2 layers are backward compatible with Version-1's layers.
Version 2 includes a LOT of improvements designed toward using a small submersible water pump inside of the tank in the bottom of the Aztec Temple Planter (it figures that there would SEVERAL "Standard Sizes" of these small water pumps and their hoses)... this also allows you use it as a small water fountain with quiet "Trickling" noises. The water tank is now 60mm deep! Bog Plants with deeper root systems can be planted on the bottom layer (Layer 1), or top layer (Layer 5). Shallower-Rooted-plants can be planted in Layers 2-3. Each layer has been optimized for faster print times (See images for details and printing recommendations for each layer). Added a rearward-sloped cut-out for the water-pump's Power Cord to exit the back of the Temple, without worries of leaked water running out of the exit area. Sorry for the file size of the "Sacrificial Victims" layer, but it's highly detailed... it's not required for the print, it's just kinda cool when surrounded by Carnivorous Bog Plants ;)
Version 1 can be used if you want a smaller version, and don't plan on using a water pump, OR you may wish to use Whitetington's excellent design (Linked Above).
Both Version 1 and Version 2 have been printed multiple times, and tested with Bog-Plants with the pumps running. The running water helps stop root-rot caused by a fungus in stagnant water... "Root-Rot" is why Venus FlyTraps shouldn't "Sit" in standing water... Our Venus FlyTraps, Forked-Sundews, Pitcher Plants, etc, seem to thrive in these planters!
Then again, we live within the tiny "150km radius" that is the only place on Earth where Venus Flytraps, etc, grow naturally in the wild... so that might have something to do with it ;)
