The file 'Axial Coin Photography Stand 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 149.7KB.
This is a remix as the original design was too small for my coins and didn't work for me.
This is a fixture for photographing coins while using axial (or coaxial) lighting. This is achieved by placing a glass pane at an angle of 45° above the object. I used a glass pane with the dimensions of 68 x 80 x 3 mm, which I had lying around.
Depending on the light source, diffusion is needed. Therefore I made a diffusor holder, which has to be printed two times and which can be bolted to the upper part by using two M3 threaded inserts and two M3x12 screws. I used multiple layers of simple tracing paper as diffusor. The "platform" part has to be glued onto the little bar in the center of the lower part. It is meant for placing the coin onto it. I glued some velours onto it for not scratching the coins during placement.
Coin placement for bigger coins (eg. 40 mm) is a bit tricky, as the lower part is rather deep. I am using bent coin tweezers for placing the bigger coins.
Attached you can find two sample pictures I took with this stand. This is my first publication. I hope it will help you :-)
