The file 'Automatic Infill Fence 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 310.9KB.
This fence uses your slicing software's possibilities to create parametric infills for your prints! It is pretty simple, just follow these instructions and you'll get your very own personalized fences to put on your wargaming table - suitable for every wargame set in a (post-) industrialized universe!
Take a look at the overview STL to get a picture of the options you have for the frames. You might have to mirror the Fence_frame-OI.stl for some options. Try out what you like most!
Print the Fence_plain.stl with these settings:
Layer height 0.3mm (The stl is 0.6mm high which makes exactly two thick and stable layers)
Select 1 to 3 outlines (these will be hidden inside the frame anyway)
Set the count for top and bottom layers to zero so that you''ll print infill layers only
Choose the infill settings to your liking! I used Flashprint with my Flashforge Creator Pro which gave me the options to do a linear, a hexagonal or a triangular infill. You can easily vary the density, the direction angle, and some more options for the infill to create your very own design.
Reduce the infill printing speed! Infill is usually supposed to be hidden inside your print and just fulfill structural purposes. In this case the Infill will be the essential part of the print. Setting the speed to about 50% or even lower will help you get a nice result for your miniature wire-mesh!
