Hey here is my little Introduction video to the Project!
https://youtu.be/NpXcQ2O_uwE
When I saw the Atomstack Challenge for the first time I was interested in no time. So I opened up my CAD program and started modeling something completely new specially made for Atomstack. I took both of their logos the old one and the new one as an inspiration and combined them in a stunning statue with a platform underneath I worked in fine details especially in the base so I could show off the performance of my laser cutter the Atomstack X20 Pro. When I finished modeling, I exported all the files as dxf and loaded them into Lightburn, nested them onto nine A3 sheets of 3mm plywood. After that, I started laser cutting them, which worked well and came out on a nice first try. When the cutting was done I assembled the whole statue and base and reinforced it with some wood glue. If you are assembling the rounded corners of the base structure you can dip them under some water and dry them afterward or hold them above a steaming water boiler to make them soft and bendable. After that, I took out my camera took some photos, and made the video you can find behind the link above. Thank you Atomstack for hosting this challenge and giving out these prices.
9x A3 (ca. 297x420mm) 3mm Plywood or MDF
for Atomstack X20 Pro - 90%Pwr / 400-450mm/min
activate Air Assist for cleaner results!
In my files, you can find All the parts as in dxf in one file or you can find the end print either the base or the "A" files separately if you like.
Don't use the STL by the way it's just for 3D visualization and not meant for 3D printing!
I hope that you are having fun laser-cutting this model for yourself!
