Howdy Y'all
So, I spent a good few minutes designing this in fusion. For this design I gave myself a few challenges. I wanted it to look like it could be cutout from a laser cutter. To do this I made it so that the letters/symbol was completely cutout. Which I am very happy with the contrast between the print & the background!
For the symbol I originally started with just a plain cutout of the AtomStack symbol that I re-designed in Fusion 360. After playing around with it for a few minutes I was able to make it look inverted from the original. I am happy with how this came out.
As for the letters, Those were kept simple (Luckily) Just something that I threw together in a few minutes. Originally they were just all in one block in fusion, so I wanted to make it "Snazzier". I figured that I could make the letters and the symbol into two different objects, Both of which have a different meaning to the design
The text is the "laser cutting nozzle" that's why there is a chamfer at the front so that it looks more like a nozzle shooting something out.
The symbol is the actual cutting of an object that a laser cutter does. Hence why there is a stream leading up to the explosion that is the symbol.
AtomStack leads to a spark of creation. That is what I intended for the model to show.
There was a few issues printing. I forgot about slicing tolerances. This resulted in the symbol not fitting perfectly into the text plate. so it'll need a bit a force to fit in. Definitely something I'll need to keep in mind on how to improve for future designs.
Hope ya'll Enjoy!!!
Cheers,
