Summary

1. Remixed Astrophotgraphy collar to accommodate 608zz bearings

3. Polar alignment using phone (southern hemisphere friendly) ;)

  • the main purpose of this remix is to make it cheaper to make, and it's because they are the bearings i a have :p
  • print the collar flat on it's side so that it makes a V shape for best strength
  • print the head adapters in PETg
  • if needed print the TPU rubber gasket
  • i added NATO rails for polar alignment and the electronics box
  • use the phone mount adapter + "stellarium" app to do the polar alignment right
  • i used a "monitor head" as it's cheaper than a good quality ball mount

the assembly works well and it's pretty stable, tested with 17mm to 100mm, anything above that is difficult to keep stable.
i included a test shot for the orion belt and nebula exposure time is 44min ( stacked from 2min photos)
