This is camera mount for long exposure night photography. Clock driving gear from IKEA kitchen timer rotates head of this mount with fixed speed: one turn per 24 hours.
This mount allows to make shots with wide-angle lenses and exposure time up to 50 minutes. I'm not sure about telephoto becouse there is gearing wheel in last reduction chain.
My timer is fast for 8 seconds per hour - I think it's so precise result for something like kitchen tool :-) It is possible to adjust speed by changing mass of pendulum:
Also I've completely removed bell mechanism. It vibrates in the end of gear motion. Another way to disable it - just fix the hammer in high position. I did it by drop of superglue at the first time.
