Saw some tool holders for other printers and decided to make one for the Artillery that I liked. Most that I have seen seemed to require unscrewing part of the printer to screw the holder in. While it was nice, I wanted something that was a "snap on" tool holder.
I printed this and designed it specifically to not require supports. Those holes however are quite large and if your printer is not dialed in, or you print too fast you may have some sag in there. If so just do supports for the holes. The two inserts should fit inside the ridges on the right side of the printer. Overall I am very happy with the way this turned out. It is my first time making something functional and this complex.
I used Tinkercad to build it out, and Prusa Slicer to get it all sliced nicely.
This is a right side mount only, I did not want to take the chance of the gantry on the left side getting damaged if the Z axis got raised too much, or if there was a tool dropped by accident.
There is a 5-8mm gap between the horizontal beam and the cap on the right vertical support. I did that on purpose since I was not sure if there were differences between different models of the X1 printer.
