Summary

This is an articulated giraffe, with the typical giraffe pattern on its body. The giraffe can move its neck with hinges at several places as well as its head, its four legs and its tail using ball joints.

The giraffe can be printed on a 15 cm x 15 cm printbed by putting it diagonally on it (rotate by 45°).

No assembly needed. It prints already assembled (print-in-place). However, this is, unfortunatelly, not an easy print!

Supports are not needed. After printing, rotate the head upside down so that it looks in the right direction. Be very carefull when loosening the ball joints at the head, the legs and the tail the first time. For the hinges at the neck, however, you can apply a lot of strengh without breaking anything. ... at least this is my experience.

If you have problems because of too tight / too narrow ball joints and hinges, you can try do scale up/down the giraffe. The uploaded stl file is how it worked for me with the settings shown below.

It took me a very long time to design this. So I would be very grateful for feedback -- both positive and negative. I am eager to learn from this even more than I learned while designing the giraffe. Thank you and have fun with the design!
