Summary

This is modeled based on the Halo 3 Flood infection form. I did what I could to copy the features and keep everything approximately to scale while avoiding the need for any supports. To accomplish this, I broke it into 3 part types: the body, tentacles, and antennae. Note that the size of this model is designed to be printable on most printers and is not the full scale version as it would appear relative to humans in the games.

You can stand up the Flood as shown in the first image by tilting the tentacles 45 degrees away from the center which keeps the body about an inch off the surface.

NONE of the parts require supports or build plate adhesion. They should print in place and pop off easily.

To make this, you'll need to print 1 body, 3 antennae, and 8 tentacles. Depending on your printer accuracy, the parts should friction fit together, however I found it more reliable to file down the edges then superglue the parts together so they don't fall apart. For an extremely permanent connection I took a soldering iron set to low and melted the pieces together.
