Summary

I made this Armillary as a git for my Godson who is really into Astronomy (planets and stars and such things).

There are several fine examples out there, just wanted to make my own. This Armillary includes Lunar Sol transits (purely referential and optional to the make). The only component I did not model and print is the axis - I used a 5mm hollow polystyrene plastic rod. If you want a purely all printed model all you need is a 5mm diameter by 187mm long rod.

Even with included instructions, this is a complex model. I highly recommend dry fitting to understand how the pieces come together. Tolerances are tight because I designed this make to be sanded and painted. I also included a sheet of decals - please use the reference photos for placement.

Please let me know what you think. As always, thank you for your interest.
