I finally picked up some security cameras, and it seemed that with most of the ideal locations to mount them, and the areas I wanted to view necessitated that the camera be able to angle more than the supplied mount allowed. I could have bought the upgraded mounts, but where's the fun in that.
“Camera Left” means that the camera view is rotated 45 degrees to the left with the mount installed compared to mounting to the surface without the mount.
I designed four mounts; two provide an offset of 45 degrees “camera left”, “camera right” on the same plane, and two provide an offset of 45 degrees “camera left” and “camera right” as well as 45 degrees down.
