The file 'Aqueon Aquarium Filter 10 Intake Tube 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 736.2KB.
I was cleaning my filter and took off the little intake tube and tried to clean it and then it just broke in my hand becoming so brittle from about 6 years of use. So I designed up something a bit better than what you get in the box. I noticed that my snails in the tank would get stuck in the intake and get killed by the filter so I made the bottom section really big to make the intake of water more spread out and made the gaps larger for stuff like food actually get picked up by the filter.
What you NEED to know:
-This is a difficult print and needs to be printed at 100 microns since the structure columns are so thin. So Rep-Rap guys, have fun. Cooling fans required
-Support material in my software was set for a 20% gradient before the support material would kick in.
-Also make sure the support material is not inside the structure, you won't be able to pull it out. GUARANTEED
-PLA may not be the best material to use since it decays in UV light and probably doesn't like water too much either.
