After a few years of usage, I observed that the power button of my Apple TV Siri Remote was wobbling, threatening to pop out of the casing.
And then, one day, it was gone. Missing, leaving a hole with an unreachable switch at the bottom. As I browsed the web, I found out I was not alone and Apple won’t refund or replace.
There is a thread in Apple's forum here where people complain. Fun fact: each time I tried to share my solution, it was upvoted and then deleted by Apple a few minutes later, whereas solutions leading to buy accessories from Amazon are still online in the same thread. Cannot understand, won't try to.
An idea, Fusion 360, a prototype and then this: a simple cap with a flexible button and we can switch the TV on and off again!
The remote loses a bit of style but recovers its full functionalities.
I propose two versions: a simple band and a top covering one.
Be cautious when you clip the cap around the remote: the button's leg is brittle since it's very thin. You may break it during the process but when it is setup it simply works flawlessly.
