Summary

Antlion Modmic Wireless fix

Printed in PLA+ at 0.12 layer hight. can prob do 0.2, did 69% infill bec funny number but can def be less. Only non 3D printed things are glue and a thin zip tie or some string, wire, green tie (like for the garden, or something like that)

YouTube vid explaining it a bit and how to use/apply it. Any questions just message me and or leave a comment on the YouTube video.

V15 has a support that's in the way of most charging cords getting into the charging port, so you'll need to snip it off after you glue the mic case into it. Its easy to snip off with some flush cutters like the ones that come with most printers

V16 I removed the support that was in the way of the charging port, although i haven't tested V16 so im unsure if the case will align properly without it

So the modmic wireless has a problem, the only thing holding the microphone/microphone arm to the little plastic case is hopes, dreams, and a tiny shitty lip of rubber. I like to move my mic arm a bit, when i change the headphones the mics on or to make it face up so i can use it as a desktop mic, Which in turn puts a lot of stress on it and it broke.
Im sure this could happen eventually under normal use aswell.
So 16 versions later, i made something to support the mic arm rubber so it takes the stress off the shitty thin rubber and puts it into the (3D printed) case instead.
The corded Modmic might have the same problem too, idk tbh never opened one up to see.

Even if your mic rubber isn't broken (yet) id strongly recommend printing and using this, better to stop it from breaking before it breaks.
When the rubber breaks there is a good chance of the thin mic wires breaking or even shorting.

Feel free to mod, fix my design mistakes and sell prints of this. All i ask is that you sell it for a reasonable price.
If i can stop broken mics from going to landfill ill be happy.
Also here are the OnShape file things. idk if i did the links right, if i didnt please messge me or comment on the youtube video.
