I tried to make it a little more grippy, while keeping the thread on its way. With the original guide wheel, my thread sometimes tends to bend and jump off, especially when there is little left in the spool. I have not used the new wheel for long, but I can see that the situation is noticeably better now.
2024-10-18: A month later, I can confirm that the wheel is pretty good for keeping the filament on its path.
