Summary

I designed this board cover so that I can easily press the reset button on the motherboard. The spiral cut-out in the centre allows the part to bend and extend to press the button.

As I only use the SD card slot to print (my computer is not next to my printer), I press the reset button to reboot the board after re-inserting the SD card. It is also useful to stop your printer mid print if you have troubles with your first layer for instance.

The trouble is that you can bridge connections with your finger when pressing the tiny switch and also risk transferring static to the components on the board. As the cover is non-conductive plastic, this should negate that issue!

PLA works fine for me and because of the spiral feature I am sure that other tougher plastics would work also.

TO MOUNT:
Unmount the board and turn the machine screws around, the holes in the legs are just tight enough for the screws to bite into and secure the whole assembly to the frame. No need for nuts. Hope it helps!

Post your makes - I'd love to see this on your machines!
