The file 'ANET A8 Improved X-Axis Modification V5-EDIT 5-5-2020 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 8.8MB.
Hello Anet A8 printer users!
I made this upgrade for the Anet because the X-axis was the weakest axis because of the play and imperfections on the standard 8mm steel rods.
This upgrade wil remove all play on the X-axis and provide you with a better way to mount your extruder carriage. I made this carriage to fit the E3D lite and probably the normal E3D as well (haven`t fitted it yet).
MGN12H rail 35cm and one slider. you can find them on ebay, banggood, local supplier, etc.. I bought 40cm and used a dremel to shorten it on both ends so my holes line up nicely.
4020 Aluminium extrusion profile 40cm length.
M3 hex bolts to fasten the MGN12H to the 4020 extrusion: M3x6 I used 7 bolts in total.
Print the M3 size of these to fit your MGN or buy real Tslot nuts: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2164617
Optional:
If you want the latest version of parts, print all parts marked with V5, print Belt bracket twice! List of updates:
Added a seperated fan bracket which is bolted to the main carriage. this should be more sturdy and easier to print then the original version.
Added a better bolted on IR-Probe bracket, the holes on the side make it easier to design and bolt on your own bracket that fits the probe you want to use.
Reshaped the fan duct to blow more air over the model and less on the heatblock. Also the troughput should be better since the nozzle opening is bigger.
