I needed a complete solution for my X-carriage on my Anet A8, so I designed it and here it is.

I designed it modular, so you can print all the different pieces without difficulties and with no supports at all, and even print some different versions if you want to mount on it for example a LASER ENGRAVER.

So here it is, a very sturdy and solid clamp for the X-carriage specificately designed for the A8 and a much more silent 60mm fan instead of the 40mm stock one (search for it on amazon if you don't have one, look for the slim one to reduce weight on the X carriage).

It's compatible with every version of the Anet A8 because of the adjustable distance between the linear bearings, even other printers if it has a similar configuration.

THINGS YOU'LL NEED (excluding the stock printer pieces):

1. A BOWDEN VERSION E3D V6: the one with the pneumatic top where you can put a 4mm (external diameter) TPFE tube. Make sure you have the correct e3d v6 for the kit before trying to mount all the pieces and follow guides on Facebook or forums if you don't know what I'm talking about.

2. A SHORT PIECE OF PTFE 4mm TUBE: it goes between the motor and the e3d v6, you put it in the pneumatic clamp on the e3d v6 and insert all in the 4mm hole directly on top of it and then cut it next to the extruder wheel, to make it easier for flexible filament to enter the throat. (PICTURES SOON)

3. DIFFERENT FROM STOCK M3/M4 SCREWS AND BOLTS, more on this when I will test everything. (soon)

OPTIONALS:

• A NEMA17 pancake version, shorter and lighter than the stock standard one (10$ on aliexpress)

• IGUS BEARINGS (LM8UU), the design allow them to fit and they are a good upgrade anyway.

I haven't got a lot of free time so I don't have in program to design things for other printers or things that i don't think could be useful for me, but i'm opened to ideas to improve my skills.

NB: If some pieces need some work please let me know, to solve them you can lightly cook the piece to soften it and correct small imperfection in quotes, for example if a screw seems too large for an hole. Then please tell me the problem in the comments below and I will try to apply corrections.
