The file 'Andon (行灯) – Traditional Japanese Style Lamp 3D Printer Model' is (stl, stp) file type, size is 3.1MB.
A lamp styled like a traditional japanese andon (行灯). I used this light bulb socket but I provided the .stp file for the main post if you want to modify it for a different one. More picts and info on my blog.
The lamp measures 285mm X 200mm x 200mm but is printable on a typical 200mm x 200mm bed. Just rotate the long vertical members 45° to fit along a diagonal.
Print 2x base.stl, 4x column.stl, 22x spar.stl, 1x maincolumn.stl or make your own, 2x key.stl to connect it, and optionally 2x frame.stl for mounting a picture or optically diffusive fabric. I used vellum paper in an inkjet printer, after lightening and desaturating the image slightly and being careful not to smudge the print while it dried.
The columns connect to the base by tapered dovetail joints, and the spars are inserted into slots but are non-structural. Glue is optional, but recommended for attaching the main column to the base via the key joint.
Use ABS or PETG for key.stl and the main post to avoid softening in the bulb's heat. I'd recommend not leaving it on and unattended for long periods of time either way. Mine just happens to be a few feet from a fire extinguisher.
