This is a dock and amplifier which works with many different tablets and smart phones. It amplifies the sound coming from speakers along the bottom edge of a device. There is charge cable routing to charge while sitting in the dock. The support for standing the device up in the dock has enough space to accommodate most devices without removing protective cases. This sound quality was tweaked to produce a less "tinny" sound than most acoustic docks when using several different iPads, iPad Airs, and a variety of iPhones.
