The inspiration to this designed came from farmeritos and his Thing 5586594.
I liked the idea and the look, but it needs to be glued and has many joints.
I wanted to design something similar but more looking like a "actual" amp and also to be more friendly to print.
The parts should come together nicely and the logo should be the only part that needs to be glued. Your milage may vary.
You need no support for the most part. Only the handles left/right of the main part where supported in my attempt. (Overhang 11mm)
The mesh part is where you can get creative.
It has a thickness of 2.5mm.
I printed mine with two bottom and NO top layer. This way you expose the infill that looks close to an original mesh. (I went with 50% infill and cubic infill pattern).
I also printed it in two colors. Most of it in silver, then paused the print and finished the last three layers in black. I think it turned out very well.
I'm looking forward to see all kind of different looking AMPs!
Please share your make/print for others to see.
Happy printing!
Update DEC 2022:
I love to see that some of you make use of the logos of your own loved amp manufacturers.
So as a service I searched some of the common ones here on thingiverse, scaled them to the correct size, did a test print, and added it to the file library for you to choose from.
All sources are added to the Remix Source File, so you can easily find the original.
I thank those creators for sharing their work!
The Logos are finicky so I had to print with a smaller 0.2mm Nozzle. !!
