The file 'Altimeter For Flight Simulator 3D Printer Model' is (STL) file type, size is 130.3KB.
This is a replica of an altimeter. It is inspired by the airspeed indicator you can find in fighter jets but is not an exact replica. It is designed to be used with :
The PDF is the background to be printed and glued to the front plane.
I will use it connected to a stepper driver shield for an Arduino Uno. I plan on using it for DCS World through the use of DCS Bios.
To assemble the different parts you will need 5 M3 screws for the stepper motor (M3x5mm) and the digital sensor, 4 M3 screws (M3x20 mm) and four nuts (M3) to attach the front plane to the motor support and 2 M2 screws for the display.
Update :
The screw hole to attach the proximity sensor now runs through the back plate and has a recess to secure the sensor with a nut (Hu, M3). Use a M3x10 mm screw. There is also a hole to allow fine tuning of the proximity sensor without having to disassemble anything. I haven't use it so it might not work but thought it could be a good idea eventually.
