A silhouette style led lamp. I used a strip of ws2812b leds and an atmega attiny85 in the base to control the strip. The wooden base was stained with Minwax Red Mahogany. Video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBAscKWmsIc I'll try to upload some pictures of the make in progress to help those wanting to recreate it themselves. I uploaded the INO file that I used on an attiny85. It's pretty self explanatory, the led's digital signal is on pin 0 by default but easily changeable in the arduino IDE. To make it as pictured use the RealCheshire.ino and that requires the installation of the FastLED Library. I included a photo, but if you don't know how to install them you should google that, it's pretty easy.
It has come to my attention the INO I uploaded was incorrect! I believe I have rectified the situation with the RealCheshire.ino file. I apologize for any issues this has caused.
NOTE:If you have never used arduino before, I recommend an arduino nano for this project not an attiny85. If you do go the attiny85 route make sure you flash it to a 16mhz bootloader using internal clock. By default they ship with 1mhz internal clock and the included ino file will not operate correctly.
WARNING: As Designed this lamp should work for 100LED/Meter, 60LED/Meter, and 30LED/Meter strips. It is 2mm too narrow for 74, 96, and 144 LED/Meter strips.
Also I didn't draw this I found it using a google image search.
