Using an Epilog Mini 24 laser cutter, laser engraved map of Alaska.
Materials
- Epilog Mini 24
- Cermark (this bonds with the metal to leave the black marks behind) - I attempted molly which is a lot cheaper, but it wouldn't bond with the galvanized steel.
- Galvanized Steel Plate: I got them from the roofing section at home depot, mine is 12" x 8", and it was like $1.00.
- Lunch Ice packs: (the metal is so thin it'll warp under the heat of the laser. To prevent this I taped thin ice packs to the back to keep the temperature down)
